[閱讀筆記]英特爾執行長Gelsinger的道德準則

全球晶片戰中，Intel英特爾絕對是重要角色。近日台積電在美設廠的新聞正熱，Intel執行長Gelsinger突然於今日（2022/12/7）造訪臺灣，將與電腦及伺服器等產業鏈夥伴會面，固樁意味濃厚。無論從領導管理或是從個人成長，Gelsinger都值得我們多瞭解。謝謝蘇倚德老師介紹我看一本Gelsinger寫的書，謹筆記整理書中提出的道德準則，Gelsinger說這些是「我矢志不渝的立場，用以衡量我行為的準則」，我們除了可以用來觀察或檢驗Gelsinger的作為，毋寧更作為自身處事參考。

全球晶片龍頭Intel的現任執行長（CEO）Pat Gelsinger是一位虔誠的基督徒，他在2003年擔任CFO任內就出了一本宣揚他對信仰、家庭、工作的書「Balancing Your Family, Faith & Work」（繁體中譯為「英特爾首席技術長與您分享如何平衡您的家庭、信仰和工作」）。Gelsinger於2010年將本書修訂再版（並加入其妻子的心得回應），將書名改為 Juggling Act: Bringing Balance to Your Faith, Family, and Work(本書查無繁體中譯紙本書，但有電子書；簡體紙本書中譯為「平衡的智慧」)。

Gelsinger在書中分享他的經歷與體驗，希望大家在職場及家庭作一個成功的基督徒。本文整理Gelsinger所提出的道德準則，他說這些是「我矢志不渝的立場，用以衡量我行為的準則」。

1	無論作甚麼，都要從心裏作。	哥羅西書Colossians 3:23 無論做甚麼，都要從心裡做，像是給主作的，不是給人做的。 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;
2	照現在所行的更加勉勵。	帖撒羅尼迦前書 I Thessalonians 4:1 弟兄們，我還有話說：我們靠著主耶穌求你們、勸你們，你們既然受了我們的教訓，知道該怎樣行，可以討 神的喜悅，就要照你們現在所行的、更加勉勵。 Finally then, brother, we urge and exhort you in  the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us ought to walk and to please God.
3	聽從聖靈引導的方向	約翰福音John 14:26 但保惠師，就是父因我的名所要差來的聖靈，他要將一切的事指教你們，並且要叫你們想起我對你們所說的一切話。 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
4	熱心激勵他人	哥林多後書II Corinthians 9:2 因為我知道你們樂意的心，常對馬其頓人誇獎你們，說亞該亞人預備好了，已經有一年了．並且你們的熱心激動了許多人。 for I know your willingness, about I boast of you to the Macedonians, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has stirred up the majority.
5	按照基督教的準則生活。凡事要努力使基督的道德成為我的準則	羅馬書Romans 2:7-8 凡恆心行善，尋求榮耀、尊貴和不能朽壞之福的，就以永生報應他們；惟有結黨不順從真理，反順從不義的，就以忿怒、惱恨報應他們 Eternal life to those who by patient countinuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness– indignation and wrath
6	開放、誠實和慷慨	哥林多後書II Corinthians 9:11 叫你們凡事富足，可以多多施捨，就藉著我們使感謝歸於 神。 While you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving to God.
7	說話、做事謹慎	雅各書 James 1:26 若有人自以為虔誠，卻不勒住他的舌頭，反欺哄自己的心，這人的虔誠是虛的。 If anyone among you think he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
8	經常認真地聽從他人的勸誡	箴言 Proverbs 15:22 不先商議，所謀無效；謀士眾多，所謀乃成。 Without counsel, plans go awry. But in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
9	永遠不停留於現狀，身體力行的尋求改變	羅馬書Romans 15:20 我立了志向，不在基督的名被稱過的地方傳福音，免得建造在別人的根基上。 And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should  build on another man’s foundation,
10	在工作和生活各方面盡力幫助周圍的人和軟弱的人	帖撒羅尼迦前書 I Thessalonians 5:14 我們又勸弟兄們，要警戒不守規矩的人，勉勵灰心的人，扶助軟弱的人，也要向眾人忍耐。 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
11	不追求個人的榮耀，而是榮耀主，讚美周圍的人	羅馬書Romans 15:5-6 但願賜忍耐安慰的 神叫，你們彼此同心，效法基督耶穌，一心一口榮耀 神我們主耶穌基督的父。 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded  toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
12	不要過於執著，但做每件事都要嚴肅認真，不斷感受主的祝福	雅各書James 4:13-15 嗐！你們有話說：「今天、明天我們要往某城裡去，在那裡住一年，做買賣得利。」其實明天如何，你們還不知道。你們的生命是什麼呢﹖你們原來是一片雲霧，出現少時就不見了。你們只當說：「主若願意，我們就可以活著，也可以做這事，或做那事。」 Come to now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit “; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appear for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live, and do this, or that.”
